When I first started blogging, I gave myself a goal to reach as many page views as possible. And to my surprise, I have surpassed my goals more than I expected. I expected to make some progress, but how things turned out is truly amazing! One way I was able to generate traffic to my blog was…
…You guessed it. My Pinterest strategy!
I have a new baby at home and I don’t have the time to be on Pinterest all day and I need a way to increase traffic to my blog with little to no effort.
And using a Pinterest scheduler will allow you to schedule all your pins at once.
One of my favorite scheduling tools is Tailwind! It’s the crème-de-la-crème of schedulers that bloggers use to generate traffic to their blogs. I’m going to show you 5 reasons why Tailwind ROCKS and why it’s a bloggers must-have.
1. BATCH SCHEDULING
You can schedule your pins using Tailwind, saving a lot of time with their browser extension which is available for Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari. You have the ability to schedule your pins from any website. How cool is that?
Sundays are usually my go-to days to schedule my pins. I end up with about 10-12 pins ready to go in que. Keeping my Tailwind que full for the week has been one of the best ways to grow my Pinterest page and blog.
2. BEST TIMES TO PIN
After connecting your Pinterest account to your Tailwind account, Tailwind will automatically optimize your pinning schedule to when your followers are most active. This takes the guesswork out of scheduling your pins at a time when they’ll be seen most. You can also set custom times to pin as well. I have discovered the best time for me to pin is between 4pm and 11pm.
3. DATA AND ANALYTICS
With a Pinterest business account, you get a peek into how well your pins are doing, but this doesn’t compare to Tailwinds’ analytics tool. You not only get insights into your pins’ performance, but you can see the number of comments, most popular pins and much more. Basically, you can see what works and what doesn’t to get the most out of each pin. You can even receive an email each week with a status update.
4. INTERVAL PINNING
With interval pinning, you can schedule your pins to be spread out over the course of the day (minutes, hours, days or weeks). This prevents you from coming off as spammy by pinning all of your pins from your website and group boards at once. Not to mention reducing the number of people who see your pins.
5. BOARD LISTS
If you’re anything like me, you belong to a million group boards (well, not that many, but you get the picture) and there’s no way you can remember to pin to each relevant board every time you want to pin something. With Tailwind you can create a list of boards you frequently use together. Group Board scheduling problem solved!
Tailwind just recently rolled out a new feature called Tribes. These are secret boards that you can add your friends as well as other contributors to. You add your content to your tribe and others in the tribe can share your content as well as their own.
This helps increase the number of repins and also helps to fill your Tailwind schedule as you will have other members’ content readily available to pin. And guess what? Tribes are currently FREE!
I currently have a Tailwind Tribe Chic Sisters that focuses on blogging, business, time management and entrepreneurship. If you blog about any of these things, I’d love to have you on my Tribe. My only requirement is that for every pin you add, you repin two other pins from other contributors. You can join for
If you think Tailwind is for you, then you can get it a go with a free trial. That’s exactly how I increased traffic to my blog and increased engagement. You will save so much time by scheduling your pins.
Tailwind will let you try their service FREE for 30 days with a credit card. You also will gt access to all of the Plus features and get 100 pins for free to try out (trust me, they run out fast).
** Everyone that signs up with my personal link will get a $15 credit when you upgrade to Plus after your free trial. That’s like getting 1 month free! It’s a win-win!! If it wasn’t for Tailwind, my blogging traffic and engagement wouldn’t be nearly as high as it is each month. Try out Tailwind HERE!
Have you tried Tailwind? If so, how has it helped increase your blog traffic and engagement on your blog?
